Due to recent changes by FHA/HUD the special rebate for fixed rate HECM mortgage will be ending March 31, 2013. HUD has put a moratorium on the fixed rate standard HECM mortgage and will only offer Saver Fixed rate products and Credit line HECM's which have adjustable rates. The Saver program benefits from lower costs at the expense of less cash out.
